In 1993, Mara moved to event marketing, creating and executing events for American Express By Invitation Only™, Schieffelin & Somerset, as well as movie premieres and product launches.

From 1995 until 1998, Mara expanded the brand of Esquire magazine in a department based on added value concept-marketing and strategic planning. At that time, Esquire's event division increased from two to over 25 events annually, helping the magazine achieve a 42% increase in advertising pages and $10 million in revenue. Currently Esquire is one of the largest event-driven publications in the Hearst family.

Medoff Inc has produced over 300 events, working closely with many brands including many titles at Hearst Magazine, Conde Nast, IBM, UBISoft, GAP, The Rockwell Group, Universal Pictures, International ANDY Awards, African Rainforest Conservancy, Berkshire Film Festival among others.
